YOUTH MINISTRY

St. Peter’s Youth Ministry is a ministry geared to young people grades 6 through 12.  Since 1999, St. Peter’s has utilized the Journey to Adulthood Program which is a program of spiritual formation that

  • Provides a liturgical frame for their experience in our modern culture
  • Celebrates their individuality and their creative potential
  • Instructs them in skills needed for successful adult participation in church and society

The program is based on two key concepts:  1) Manhood and womanhood are gifts from God, 2) Adulthood must be earned

The program follows the imperatives of the Baptismal Covenant, enabling young people to discover and experience the love of God.

The curriculum falls into three distinct phases:  Grades 6 thru 8: Rite 13, Grades 9-10 J2A, and Grades 11-12 YAC (Young Adults in the Church)

The Journey to Adulthood promise:  If you seek the Christ, together we will find Him.
