The objective of the Newcomers Committee is to ensure that all visitors to St. Peter's are made to feel welcome and accepted into the church family. If visitors are interested in becoming members, the Newcomers Committee facilitates the process.

The Newcomers Committee consists of the Bread Ministry which is responsible for the delivery of warm bread and church information to all who visit each Sunday, and the Host Ministry which will mentor newcomers as they go through the process of becoming members (still under development).

The Newcomers Committee also coordinates all social functions to recognize visitors and welcome new members. These events include, First Sunday Lunch and the Newcomers Reception.

Paige and David Hanks chair the Newcomer's Committee, and the sub-committee is chaired by Terry Felker and Julie Smith.
